The 2014 Winter Olympics will be held in Sochi, Russia from 7 February to 23 February. The Winter Olympics is always an exciting time for curling as it has been the number one most watched Winter Olympic sport for the last two Olympics.
The curling events at Sochi kick off on February 10th with round robin play ending in medal rounds on February 20th and 21st. More info can be found on Sochi’s website http://www.sochi2014.com/en/curling.
The Potomac Curling Club is pleased to offer three Learn to Curl sessions during the Winter Olympics. The program is designed for people who would like to get more than just a taste of the game. Register here for the Open House. Allow for about one hour of ice time. Potomac Curling Club is asking for a $10 fee for individuals and a $20 fee for families. All guests must sign a waiver before heading out onto the ice. Forms can be printed out here:

Team Faircloth won the right to represent the GNCC at the national club playdowns by going 8-0 in the GNCC event.
