2014 Club Shutdown Ice Maintenance

Susan Arminger and Alan MacNeil get the houses sorted out before the 2011-2012 season

Six volunteers are needed on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:30 PM to help clear the ice floor of all Ice markings.

Four volunteers are needed on Wednesday, April 23 at 7:30 PM to squeegee the white paint to the edge of the ice floor.

2013-2014 Final Fling Party

It’s time for Final Fling, our end-of-the-ice curling party! We’ll be having Red, Hot & Blue for dinner starting at 6:30pm, and then at 7:00pm, we will be wreaking havoc on the ice we so carefully groom all year by ice skating on it! (Payback time for all those picked rocks and lines that fall to the wall.) There will also be shuffleboard on ice and chess on ice for your curling cliché pleasure and a disco ball and music to help set the mood.

Curling at the 2014 Winter Olympics

The 2014 Winter Olympics will be held in Sochi, Russia from 7 February to 23 February. The Winter Olympics is always an exciting time for curling as it has been the number one most watched Winter Olympic sport for the last two Olympics.

The curling events at Sochi kick off on February 10th with round robin play ending in medal rounds on February 20th and 21st. More info can be found on Sochi’s website http://www.sochi2014.com/en/curling.
