2016 Board of Directors Elections – Candidates’ Statements


This year we have 11 candidates running for the board. There are three(3) three-year terms and one(1) one-year term up for election.

The election will run from Saturday April 30 through Friday May 13 at 11:59pm. Results will be announced at the Annual Meeting on Saturday May 14.

The candidates’ statements will be available here and on the Ballot Bin voting site while the polls are open.

2016 Annual Dinner

The Annual Dinner will be held on May 14, 2016. Appetizers will start at 5:45 and dinner will be served at 6:15. Please RSVP by May 7, 2016, if you will be attending.

Cost is $15 per person for the dinner. Appetizers and desserts are potluck. The beverage cabinet is closed for the season, so plan on bringing your own drinks.

Following dinner, we will present the club awards to a select group of very deserving members who have shown great dedication to the sport of curling and to the club.

2016 Fling It! Bonspiel Returns

Fling It returns! Our 1 day bonspiel is geared for our newest curlers—less than 3 years of experience. It’s a chance for you to try your hand at bonspieling in the comfort of your own club playing against people of your own level. It’s a ton of fun and a great way to end your first (or second or third) curling season!



  • 12:15pm Lunch & Team check-in
  • 1pm Fling It, Game 1
  • 3pm Fling It, Game 2
  • 5pm Fling It, Game 3
  • 6:30pm Awards & Final Fling

2016 Final Fling

It’s time for Final Fling, our end-of-the-ice curling party! We’ll be having BBQ for dinner starting at 6:30pm along with the Fling It! awards ceremony, and then we will be wreaking havoc on the ice!

Although we so carefully groom it all all year, it’s payback time for all those picked rocks and lines that fall to the wall. Come and ice skate, play hockey, dance, and more and help us put the ice to bed. If you don’t have ice skates, no problem! The Ice House is once again letting us borrow skates. Try Curling – PCC Open House on February 27, 2016


“Try Curling”
Attend our second and last open house for the year. Learn to impress your friends with your curling knowledge. We will teach you the essentials of curling: terminology, delivery, sweeping and scoring. This basic instruction lasts about an hour and offers a good overview of what curling is all about. Cost is $10.00 per person or $20.00 per family. Sign up for a session between the hours of 10:00 – 2:00 Pm February 27, 2016.
